Today’s day 31st January is celebrated as National Hot Chocolate Day, people warm themselves to their core by enjoying this sweet and warm beverage Hot Chocolate. So, its Spiced Hot Chocolate for my family that is flavored with Indian spices, topped with whipped cream & marsh mellows to tantalize the taste buds.
Ingredients:
· Milk – 2 cups
· Dark chocolate – 100-120 gms (roughly chopped)
· Unsweetened cocoa powder/Hot chocolate powder – 2 tbsp
· Pinch of salt
· Vanilla extract - 1 tsp
· Cinnamon powder – 1 tsp
· Pinch of nutmeg
· Sugar (optional)
· Whipped cream (for serving)
· Marsh mellows (for serving)
Method:
· Bring the milk to a simmer and add the roughly chopped chocolates and spices.
· Stir until the chocolate is melted.
· Remember not to bring the milk to a boil, so use a milk that is already bolied.
· Pour the hot chocolate into two cups.
· Add some whipped cream on top, and serve with marsh mellows.
