RAVA BESAN LADOO 🪔(Deepawali special) 🪔

Rava Besan Ladoo a delicious preparation made using fine rava and besan. This tastes more delicious as this is a preparation wherein the roasted ladoo mixture is added in sugar syrup which is brought to perfect consistency. My mother's recipe works out perfect for me. My family's favourite ladoo.

Ingredients:

· Fine Rava - 500 gms

. Thick Besan (gram flour) – 2 cups (approx 250 gms)

· Ghee – 6-7 tbsp approx..

· Sugar – 700 gms

· Cardamom powder

. Nutmeg Powder - 1/4 tsp

· Raisins (optional)


Method: 

· Take a thick bottomed pan. Add ghee, now add fine rava, slightly roast it and then add gram flour.

· Roast it on low to medium heat. Stir continuously or besan may stick to the pan and may burn.

· Roast the mixture until it turns slightly golden and turns aromatic. Turn off the flame.

· Transfer the roasted mixture into a big bowl and let it cool down a little.

· Now add raisins, nutmeg powder and cardamom powder to the roasted mixture and mix well.

. Now take a pan add roughly 2 cups water and add the sugar too.

. Let the sugar mix in well and wait till it attains 2 thread consistency.

. Now pour the roasted mixture in the sugar. Give a good mix. Wait for the mixture to cool down slightly.

. Now take a small portion in a plate and use a bowl to smash it, this helps to get rid of any lumps while making the ladoo.

. Now take a portion of the mixture to make ladoo.

. Enjoy this melt in mouth ladoo with your family and friends.
