NEEM JUICE/ CHUTNEY (Ugadi special)

Ugadi or Gudi Padwa marks the beginning of spring and is considered a very auspicious time. It also marks the Hindu New year. A mixture of neem and jaggery are eaten this day, which are very healthy by their inherent nature. The significance of this mixture is that basic essence of life itself, which is a combination of bitter and sweet! Neem is bitter in nature, while jaggery is sweet.

Ingredients

· Neem leaves – 30-40

· Neem flowers - few

· Jaggery as per your preference

· Cumin seeds – 1 tsp

· Carom seeds – 1 tsp

· Black pepper – 8-10

. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp

. Hing - 1 pinch

· Salt


Method:

· You can blend all this into a mixer using water. You can keep it like a chutney.

· If you want to make juice you can strain it using water.

· Have this drink before your meal.
