GUACAMOLE & GOOSEBERRY JAM TOAST

Breakfast frame, toasted bread with Guacamole an avocado-based spread and sun kissed Golden Cape Gooseberry jam spread over it.🧡💚💛

Guacamole is an avocado-based dip, spread, or salad first developed in Mexico. This Southwestern guacamole toast is easy to make, filling and packed full of flavor. Best to be served on the breakfast table.

Cape gooseberry is also known as Inca berry, Peruvian groundcherry, poha berry, goldenberry, husk cherry, physalis, ground cherry and golden berry. Cape gooseberry is a small, bright orange berry fruit that is related to the tomatillo. The fruit has a sweet, tropical and very unique taste. It is perfect to make an extremely delicious cape gooseberry jam.

An extremely delicious, uniquely flavoured jam with beautiful golden colour, titillates the palate. Can be served with bread and pancakes 🥞. Add a spoonful to your cake batter and the cake/ muffin becomes moist and flavourful.

GUACAMOLE TOAST Ingredients: For Guacamole · Avocados – 1 (ripened) · Garlic – 8-9 cloves (crushed) · Onion – 1 medium (finely chopped) · Cherry tomatoes – 8-10 OR Small tomato - 1 · Black pepper – ½ tsp · Jalapeños – 5-6 slices OR Green chillies – 1-2 (finely chopped) · Olives · Lemon juice – 1 tsp · Coriander/Cilantro leaves – handful · Salt For Toast · Bread · Butter · Guacamole

Method: · Scoop out the avocado in a bowl. · Take a mortar pestle and pound garlic, onion and coriander leaves till a paste is formed. · Now mash the avocado with a fork and add the paste to it. · Now add tomatoes, black pepper, lemon juice, jalapeños, olives and salt. Give it a good mix. · Your Avocado Guacamole is ready to be served with toasted bread or tortilla chips or Mexican rice or any dish of your choice. · Refrigerate it for an hour for best flavor. (optional) · Toast the bread with little butter and top it with freshly prepared guacamole.
