There are many recipes that I have learnt from my mother @prabhabanare cannot count, but this one is my favourite ❤️ She usually makes it with pineapple 🍍 too.💛 But with a thicker consistency. This delicious sweet, sour and spicy curry is made using Indian Hog Plum(Amtekai), the preparation is known as menaskai or kayirasa. Mostly the coastal and malenadu regions of Karnataka use this amtekai for preparing raita, menaskai/kayirasa, pickles, and chutneys. This recipe is a real treat to all those who love the combination of Sweet, Sour & Spice !!! A great accompaniment with plain rice /dosa /Idli. 💚 It's available during this season, if you get it, do try out in this season. You can also keep the consistency a little thicker too, that can be served as an accompaniment. But I wanted to have it with rice, so made little thin. 🧡🤍💚
