Sev is a noodle type crispy snack made from gram flour. It is particularly used in many Indian food and snack preparations as main ingredient or for garnishing purpose.

Ingredients:
· Chickpea flour/ Gram flour/ Besan – 2 cups
· Hing – ¼ tsp
. Red chilli powder - 3/4 tsp (optional)
· Oil – 1 tsp
· Salt as required
· Water as required
· Oil for frying
Method:
· Take a large mixing bowl sieve gram flour add red chilli powder, hing, oil and salt.
· Add very little water to make a smooth dough little butter.
· Now take the chakli press and replace the plate to make thin sev.
· Grease the press with oil and now fill the press with dough and press in hot oil in large circles. Do not make too many layers.
· Fry in low to medium flame on both sides till the it is cooked properly. Drain over paper towels. Repeat to finish.
· Once done roughly break to get small pieces.
· Store in an air tight container.
